THE REAL YOU IN CHRIST COMES ALIVE

It helps to know who you are. But in striving for a self-made identity you never will. Because we are not capable, outside of Christ of seeing like Christ, knowing like Christ and becoming who we are by creation and regeneration in Christ. You were brought into existence by Christ, created by Him and since the cross have the opportunity and treasure of being made into your real self by Christ. There is no authentic identity outside of Christ. Not in general achievement or in religion.
THE I AM OF YOU
Nothing is more rewarding that to grow into your real self. “Nothing is more rewarding than to discover the real person in another person. Only discovering the real person in yourself equals that. We are fashioned in the same mould, the expression of the same thought. Our author’s signature and invisible image is nowhere better preserved or displayed than in our inner consciousness. Our origin traces the very imagination of God.” (1) This is who Father imagined His sons and daughters to be. They are becoming who they are in Christ.
REAL SELF STANDS UP
Richard Rohr differentiates between the false self and the Real Self. Real self is our genuine identity in christ. Real self is our self, born out if religion into Christ our life. Real Self is our lived union with God; the living of our being in God. In God we live, move and have our being and in doing so we are alive with real life and growing daily into our True Self. The cause of this is that you began in God. The dynamic of this is that in Christ you are included in God and born again in God. This is your treasure in a jar of clay because Christ has taken steps to you. Christ has earned you by cross/attornment and Christ lives in you by incarnation which is life in the Spirit.
REAL LIFE/REAL SELF IN CHRIST
Union with God is yours by the achievement of God who is Jesus Christ , one of us and the Son of the Father. This is your treasure and it’s the foundation of your real life, real self and your ability to see life as it can be lived in abundance in Christ who has situated you in God.
